    My journey in Australia started with a simple dream—the freedom to build a life that truly fit me. After earning my teaching degree at Deakin University, I spent five years teaching Mandarin to over 600 children across 28 classes. While I loved sharing my language and culture, seeing each class only once a week made it hard to feel that deep connection teachers cherish. That experience taught me an important lesson: meaningful work isn't just about helping others—it's about finding work that helps you grow too.
     That's why I chose to study massage therapy at Holmesglen TAFE, where I graduated with top honors. There, I discovered something beautiful—the quiet satisfaction of hands-on work. While teaching had been about guiding many, massage let me focus completely on one person at a time. Through my clients' stories, I learned that sometimes the simplest work—using your hands to heal—can bring the deepest peace.
     Now I'm beginning a new chapter in pet grooming, and it feels like all my experiences have led me here. Dogs, I've found, are much like children—they respond to patience, clear communication, and kindness. My years in the classroom taught me how to build trust, while massage taught me the value of gentle, focused care.
     What excites me most is creating a space where both pets and people feel at ease. I believe happy groomers make happy pets—it's that simple. When we approach animals with calm and respect, they respond in kind. After years of searching, I've learned that the best work isn't about prestige or pressure—it's about finding that sweet spot where your skills meet your soul's need for peace.
    From teaching crowded classrooms to the quiet focus of massage, and now to the joyful world of pet care—each step has been about finding work that feels right. Because at the end of the day, whether it's a child learning a new word, a client relaxing under caring hands, or a dog enjoying a good brush, the greatest reward is knowing your work matters—to others, and to yourself.
